HYDROTHERAPY
WHAT IS HYDROTHERAPY?
Hydrotherapy, also called aquatraining, is mainly used for the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders, but also for losing weight, sports training and fitness purposes.
With hydrotherapy, exercises are performed in warm water. The exercises are usually supervised by a physiotherapist or remedial therapist.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF HYDROTHERAPY?
By adjusting the height of the water, the body weight is partially to fully supported. Patients who are rehabilitating and who are not yet able to walk independently or are not yet allowed to fully load their limb can make use of this.
The friction of the water halves the duration of a session, avoids shock loads and helps the user to stand up more easily. The warm water relaxes the muscles, reduces perspiration and has an analgesic effect.

Technical specifications
The standard dimensions of the hydrotherapy bath are:
- Width: 1042 mm
- Height: 1898 mm
- Length: 2253 mm
The running surface has a length of 1500 mm by a width of 430 mm.
The minimum speed of the standard installation is 0.6 and can be set to a maximum of 10.0 km/h.
The slope of the running surface can be dynamically adjusted between an angle of 0 and 8°.
The temperature of the water can be heated up to a maximum of 40°C. It is not possible to go lower than the ambient temperature.
It is possible to adjust the height of the water during a session between 0 and 120 cm, measured from the running surface.
